Undergraduate Student Conference Participation

NCSA News

Congrats

Congratulations! Welcome to Our Newly Elected Council Members! President-Elect: Geoff [...]

Undergraduates are welcome at NCSA and encouraged to participate in the conference – we want to work with you!

If you are a student in sociology, anthropology, criminology, political science, or any other related field, we encourage you to submit your research for inclusion on the NCSA program. Our organization is friendly, welcoming, and full of people who are eager to mentor the next generation of sociologists!

Undergraduate students will be placed in sessions together but still be fully integrated into the regular NCSA program. This means you will have the benefit of presenting alongside other young scholars while also having access to individuals in various stages of professional development, including graduate students, early career faculty, and established scholars. This provides an excellent networking and mentoring environment for you!

During the NCSA conference you welcome to attend all paper sessions, plenary addresses, and conference events. You are also invited to participate in any of our specialized certificate programs, including the preparing future faculty and professional development certificates.

You can find the conference submission guidelines HERE. Be sure to read the submission guidelines prior to submitting your proposal.

And you are encouraged to reach out to Mellisa Holtzman at mkholtzman@bsu.edu with any questions.

The submission deadline is January 5, 2024.  Best of luck and we look forward to seeing you at NCSA!
